Instructor Raymond Jemerson

Raymond Jemerson has been dancing Salsa and many of the different styles of Latin dances for the past 13 years. He started teaching 6 years ago the different styles of dance after learning how to teach dance at the Arthur Murrey studios in Bloomfield, MI. He eventueally concentrated on teaching the latin dances specializing in Salsa learning from great instructors as Elaine Merrero of the Troy DAnce Studios and Duane Wrenn of Energetic Soul, both in Michigan.

 

The Detroit Toledo Salsa Dance Company or DTS Dance Co. have taught or per- formed at many events including Latino Fest, the Puerto Rican Flag Raising both in 2003, the "South of the Border" Festival in 2005, 2 events at the Toledo Zoo, as well as corporate events including Promedicas Bay Park Hospital in 2005 and 2006, Flower Hospital in 2005, Nationwide Insurance event in 2006. The DTS Dance Co. performed this year at National Dance week in Detroit, MI. Raymond is currently performing with Dal Bouey in her show several times a month in the MGM Grand and Motor City Casinos. Raymond won the "Jack and Jill" competition that was held at Tucan Tangos on July 27, 2007.

 

Raymond and DTS Dance Co. have taught and performed at several school events over the years including Dance Marathons at both BGSU and UT, a dance workshop at Washtenaw Community College in Michigan, 2 dance workshops at each Grand Blanc Academy in Grand Blanc and at Heart Academy in Harper Woods, both also in MI. Locally they have taught at Adelante, Dunbar Academy and Libby Highschool here in Toledo.
